not sure but can you blow bubbles with bubble gum? get some hubba bubba, chew, blow an assortment of bubbles and attach to your fly line after trimming off excess gum, voila! instant indicator.

CAUTION!!! Do not re-chew gum after use, always discard the bubbled gum into your pocket or on the back of the seat directly in front of you on a bus, or under a table at starbux or, a walkway frequented by office workers sporting the finest penny loafers and stilettos.

1) buy some thin O rings about 1/4 OD. Princess Auto generally have a good selection.
2) cut the foam into narrow strips about 1/8" wide and 1 1/2" long
3) take 5>7 strips put them into the O ring and slide and O ring to the centre
4) using another O ring, slide it over te first O ring and up about 1/4"

This should make a bunch of foam prices that look like a bouquet with an O ring to attach to the leader. Make a loop in your leader, slide it through the O ring over the end of the foam end and pull tight.

Catch ya'

Don

Take a wine cork, cut to size you want, and file it round. Paint your favorite color. Stick a needle through it and go fishing. They float great.

Why not just buy em? Much cheaper in the long run.

It's way more satisfying than making bamboo rods.....
You just don't get the same feel casting those store bought things (plus you miss out on the wine)

The cardboard from my wine box seems to soak up water pretty quick and sinks to the bottom in a hurry.

Another thing I found was the cardboard box acted more like a kite while trying to cast.
