Default Remington 700 recall

Anyone here get there Remington recall done. Just curious into the process as I have a model 700 300rum that can get the recall done.
What I am curious about is
1.The shipping process
2. If you sent firearm with scope attached
3. Approximate time frame from shipping to return.

Anything else I should know about would be appreciated

You really need to begin with the use of the search function.

Then don't be afraid to surf the interweb as well.

It would seem that posing a question here is 'surfing the inter web'...is it not.
To bad civility was one of the first things gone on the WWW.

I got the recall notice on my email quite a while ago but I have never worried about stuff like the trigger recall because I normally upgraded the triggers whenever I bought a Remington anyway .

Just about the recall and sending it to your authorized Remington Warranty depot
They paid the shipping as well as the trigger upgrade .
No idea about turnaround times but there was a thread a while back here about it
I am in my phone and do not know how to cut and paste it

I had two on recall. Went to the Gravel Agency website(Canadian Remington Rep) Searched their site to get the forms to fill out and submit online. They sent me the boxes and postage stickers. Remove scope and mounts and sent them the rifle along with the bolt. Received the rifles back in 3 weeks with new triggers.
Both triggers were set to 3.5 lbs and work great!
I took a number of cell phone pictures of both rifles before sending and added some bubble around them. They came back packaged the same way I sent them.

Default Remington Issues

Two trigger issues since the 70s allowing the rifle to fire without touching the trigger, especially in colder weather.

Thousands of gun owners claim Remington 700 rifles have fired without the trigger being pulled.

There has never been an issue with my Remington triggers. Im definitely not sending them all over the country, just so I have to re-adjust them when they get back.

Seems like a perfect time and excuse to put a really nice after market trigger in . What wife could say no to a Saftey concern like that?

Sent mine to Gravel a few years ago, turn around time was good, no more than 3 weeks. Still didn't trust the new trigger so I upgraded to a Triggertech... a superior product !
