Default Sightcasting for Pike. Unbelievable.

For you pike fisherman heres a video recapping ONE day of last years fishing season. This client I was guiding kept tossing out this ugly looking fly at the big pike we saw, the results were outstanding..
Enjoy.

All feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

Wow big pike!

Is he using a bait casting rod with a fly reel? I doubt a fly rod would survive the way he is handling it (grabbing it wayyyy above the handle/butt section)!! Yikes

It was a St Croix fly rod, 9 weight (pretty sure) It survived the trip to say the least.
