My question: is there anyting like this in AB?? If not WHY!!
A sheep hunting education seams to be a great idea.. it may save a few short sheep from being taken off the mountain.
I recall we had this discussion a while ago and that the BC site came up as a good resource. I do have to admit I have a bit of trepidation about sheep hunting myself because of the issue. Seems to be to be the toughest game species here in alberta to judge legality from the distance that you can usually get close to the animal. I'd be scared of making a mistake.
To my knowledge we have nothing of the sorts except the program the Alberta Wild Sheep Foundation puts on each year for youth hunters at the Alford Lake Hunter Training Camp.
I also think it would be a great asset to all sheep hunters and would be a good program to get going here in Alberta.
