Default Tanning Hides at home?

I'm not sure if this belongs in the Hunting section or the Trapping section but here goes. Does anyone here tan their own hides at home? I'm thinking about trying some beaver or maybe wolf hides down the road but I'm wondering if it is worth the effort or not as well as what kind of quality you can get doing your own tanning. I've watched a bunch of YouTube clips for methods and tips but if anyone here does their own tanning and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to hear how you do your hides. Thanks for any and all help!

check out taxidermy.net lots of tips on there for tanning. Wasco or Van Dykes will sell kits to do it yourself as well, not sure what quality you will get though
