Default Paper tuning question

I was just out putting a couple of arrows through paper. I am using blazers with right helical. The holes were relatively clean but each had a small straight vertical tear of about 1/2".

I was just wondering if blazers should tear as clean as regular vanes or if they tear paper slightly different due to their design.

Thanks

Blazers will punch/rip as well as any...the older high profile blazers had some issues but the lower profile blazers now are as any vane...

your issue is minor...a simple adjustment to your nock point/loop will make it perfect...adjust the nock point in the opposite direction it is tearing...

Or if your arrow on rest is centered on Berger or rest bolt hole as bow was designed...than you can simply move the rest 1/16 with the tear...this will save moving loop and peep without any issues...

BTW if 1/2 inch is the worst it is and it doesnt get better simply walkback tune and go for a tight group.
