Not forestry but I know a few people. They have back burned on the south and east sides of the fire. Also a controlled burn was completed around the high level hospital at 2 pm today.

70% of fuel source is burned in the south portion of fire. Hoping that the east side is at 70 by today.

Because this looks bad.

It has to be back burning though, given we haven't heard any horrid news.

Tons of police presence, they have the town locked up tight.
Looked like the fire was very close to town, but hard to tell from the smoke.

That last one appears to be back burning, the first two look to me more like natural fire spread.
