Default Willow Valley Trophy Day + WR sheep

Just a reminder that Willow Valley Trophy Day is this coming Saturday. Always a good event with a lot of entries, displays, vendors and guest speaker. Looks like we will have the new 'potential' world record bighorn sheep on hand. No promises, however, the owner has said he will make every effort to head down weather permitting. The forecast is good. Details can be found on our website. www.willowvalleytrophyclub.com

Would it even be a legal ram if F&W gets their way?

A world record unbroomed ram and barely full curl.....

Nice looking Ram but doesn't come close to the current record ram in looking like a true trophy. Like previously said, barely full curl.

This pick up is rumored to be #4 in the world.

Is the live ram in the picture the same ram the guy is holding? Looks to me like a different sheep unless the live picture is a couple years ago. The dead one the guy is holding is way over full curl.

Two very different Rams. The skull ram is a cadomin ram found last winter that had major 60 day shrinkage. The soon to be WR is a southren alberta ram. Massive loopy bugger. He was a amazing sheep! Hope I can make it to the show. My friends big non typical Muley and drop tine shiras moose will be there.

Don't mean to de-rail the thread but I finally found my chip with these pics I took, I'm sure it was the year before the picked up ram off the mine was found. Sure looks like the same ram to me. My wife and I went for a scout trip to cadomin and saw this big guy with another 10-15 rams, the others were all nice too but didn't even compare to the size of him.

So this Southern Alberta ram that will be the new WR was it shot? hit on the road? died in a park and is a pick up? I haven't heard a thing about it.

It was a road kill ram, it was not a cadomin ram and was measured wrong a few years ago. They did a re score and it beats the WR by a few. The ram that the fish cop is holding is a different ram like potty said and there is no way the ram in the camera photos are even close.

Not sure if the guy who hit him, is the one who kept him....but the guy who found him got to keep him....hopefully he shows up to the show with him.

Heres another thread about it... most of these pics were taken live by a member on here named Swarovski.

Interesting to see some pics he has his earrings in some he doesn't, a timeline would be interesting to know. Also supposedly there is a bullet hole in the one horn.

There is a bullet hole in his right horn near the top of his Curl.

The guy was poaching it I believe I heard. So it's a good thing. I'd just like to hear some guys story he tells F/W when he goes to register a well known ram like this.
