Default Ao hutterite colony

For those of you involved in group buys and maybe want to start your own commune or colony there's 48 1/4's coming up for sale mar 30th in bonanza.

Imagine the landowners tags you'd get.

Default Couldn't the Hutteries make a go of it?

Boy that is not good news. Does anyone know what happened?

The colony I'm next to can't afford to lose any of its young people, they don't have lots of children around here any more.

Don't think this is the same here. Thinking maybe the old man wants out and doesnt want the kids to fight over it . Purely speculation on my part.

I figure the land itself will bring 10 million. Nice chunk of walking around cash.

but the net depends on what the owners owe by way of mortgages and security interests on the equipment, all of which has to be paid out off the top. Usually, these days, such major liquidations are triggered by insolvency in terms of inability to service the related debt loads. Hopefully the owners will have some net equity, but it is by no means always the case. Often, this is a deal with the secured creditors to wind it up.

there is two sellers at that auction sale danny and denise nobbs and Mel & Gwen Marshall. Danny and denise are in ther late 40's early 50's I think, last last few years they have been farming 90-100 quarters with land they own and rent. Mel and gwen are in there late 70's and early 80's with mel having some health problems. They have 4 quarters in the sale.

Default Colony for sale

The reason they are selling is because the land around them is too expensive, the colony is growing, therefore they need more land to accommodate the growth. Since that growth is not possible because of the price of land around the colony, they have decided to move.

My apologies, this is not the Hutterite colony for sale, if I am at fault. The colony I'm referring to is not that far away from Calgary. This is what I was told by another colony member that I get my chickens from. This is in reference to map on post 24.
