Default Oven/Range outlet relocation advice

Would an electrician or others in the know be able to give me some advice regarding relocating a 240 plug for an oven/range...

We bought a new oven/range and I need to relocate the outlet so the back sits closer to the wall as the new oven/range is now sticking out too far from the wall.

Could I relocate it 2" lower without any code violations (bottom of the box will still be ~3" from the floor)?

Other than turning off the breaker, I don't need to run new wiring or anything else. I just need to lower the box 2".

Is this ok?

Thanks in advance.

Peter

Yes, you can move it there. It should have already been there and always near the center so the appliance can be pushed back.
