Can any of you gents who own a Kimber 84M in a short action (243W, 7-08, 308) tell me what the inside dimension of the magazine length is?

Second, is the magazine built with a plug in the back (just like the Winchester short action) where the plug can be cut off to extend it or is there no plug?

Appreciate your responses using a caliper.

I believe it's 2.840" but I don't have time to take one apart right now to tell exact dimension and they will very by a few thou among different rifles. For smooth feeding I keep my loads around 2.825". There is no magazine spacer in the 243-308 family cartridge magazines.
