I didn't say goveners, I said "health" officials. Many health officials pleaded with him to cancel the rally or at least move it outdoors if he was going to discourage physical distancing and masks. So no, not false. The fact that unscrupulous politicians have chosen to politicize this virus is quite disturbing, and that includes democrats. There's a lot of blame to go around for the current state of the virus down south but for a leader who believes he's the final authority, he also gets to shoulder the most blame.

Pretty sure that a lot of people understand the virus and there are many who also understand the idea of not overloading the health care system. Spreading out infection over time rather than overloading, helps save lives. Obviously, this is a hard concept for some to understand.

No you said over ruled. And of course that was false. If you want to argue that he ignored their advice you might have a point.
By the way lots of health officials were also ok with mass demonstrations too. Trying to suggest that health officials are providing consistent or even factual advice is funny too. I can remember back when they all claimed masks were ineffective.

Actually only some states are reintroducing restrictions.
Most states had lower infection rates and mortality rates than Canada.
The states with the greatest death rates ignored federal guidelines.
Québec had a mortality rate almost double that of the US.

It was reported that the hospital ship was for critical surgeries only since all hospitals were full of Covid patients. Then converted to Covid as well. Oh 182 were treated. Why?
The system had built a short term hospital for 2500 and only saw 500 beds ever used. New York got ahead of the curve and brought down the infection rate such that the hospitals could handle the load.
Now they are ramping up to do elective surgeries again.
So anyone using this as an excuse or proof the pandemic is a hoax doesn’t understand the facts.
Without intervention and shutting down New York, all beds and more would of been filled.
