Default Fur Harvestor predictions?

Anybody have any predictions on what coyotes are going to be going for in the next Fur Harvestors auction? Prices from other buyers have been going fairly well so far. It will be interesting to see what the return from FHA will be.

Fur buyer paid me 130 a dog on 20 dogs today. Don’t have to pay shipping fees commission drumming or any of that on my 130 per pelt but go ahead and ship lol

I'm aware, you asked for predictions and that's mine.

Ok, I think you’re not very far off on your prediction. Good luck with your fur this season , and have a great Xmas.

Too many variables. It depends on what you send in and how well it was handled. Send in a bunch of low quality fur and you’ll average less. The same if you sell to a buyer.

I’m going to say the same as last season.

My prediction is $126.00 CDN average less about 16-17% commission/exchange/drumming/fees
= $104.58 CDN Cash

If things go very well let’s say $140.00 less fees
= $116.20 CDN cash

If things are burning hot then $150.00 less fees
= $124.50

It all depends upon who is all in the bidding room and who is missing.

And not to forget or downplay... size of harvest, orders/contracts, unfilled country orders, world economic conditions.

My belief is that buyers are still in the knee jerk reaction state with the catastrophic event that we just endured. They will enter the post NAFA market cautiously...

How come you can predict what people will get at auction but not what you’ll pay for their coyotes.

You’re definitely a company man, eh?

Keep it real, dude.

Oh.... all that name calling davey.... the stereotyping.... i just cant take it anymore

Speculating on market future is fun, especially speculation based on information. Lotsa fun. It will be interesting to see how the coyote catalogue is put together, surely there will be lots of goods although the country buying community is going bonkers trying to buy the coyotes in the country right now, and literally at levels equal to or even higher than what the market is at.

Averages have been literally all over the place depending upon the goods, high quality, average or below average. Ive sure been seeing lots of bush whacked coyotes with weak sides. Anyways, guys have posted their averages. Guys with nice coyotes were paid very well. Guys with lice coyotes and inferior goods get low a averages. All relative to quality.
