C'mon now. That would mean that the few that talk of separating would actually have to get organized and start something. You Albertans that talk of separating must admire the PQ for this, they got organized and almost succeeded!

This is where I say good work to Brian Jean as he mentioned these eastern refinery purchases to make the public aware. Where were the PC's on this issue? Was this an issue when WCS wasn't in the toilet? This is one example of the PC fat cat's complacency that caused the NDP sweep. Sad but true. Too little too late Mr Jean, but at least you brought it to our attention.

I'm sick and tired of looking after the rest of this country. And when times turn they spit in our face.

My point is that the PC's did NADA to expose things like eastern refineries purchasing foreign oil when our companies were rolling in the dough with $90+ oil. Now all of a sudden it's an issue? And, there were lots of rail cars hauling to market (heading East) so please do not be an apologist for the PC fail. As Keystone was a monumental fail. Yes you could also blame Obama..

You guys are forgetting enbridge reversed line 9 so western oil goes right to montreal and area refineries now, lol, it is those dirty new brunswicker feifdom Irvings importing all the bloody murder terror crude from the bad countries.

Quebec is playing the game, so is everyone else.

The gubbermint seems to have caught BC's ear with the power purchase comments, trade goes both ways and hopefully kinder morgan gets moving, it makes the most sense. The line is next to an existing line and they have proven to be a reliable operator.

Makes perfect sense ! Sell oil to the US for $0.75 us $, buy US oil for $1.00 us $ or $1.25 ca. Makes perfect business sense.

Back in 2012 we sailed from Memphis to New Orleans on a Mississippi river boat, and at Baton Rouge were the most and largest oil refineries that I have ever seen, both sides of the river. The Captain of our boat said that the big tankers can't come up the Mississippi due to their size, so we saw several smaller tankers bringing the oil in from the large tankers which were sitting out in the Gulf of Mexico. He said the oil was coming from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

Whole different topic.
You would have to read the first few posts and be aware of the ethical oil argument.

Quebecer's do not like Alberta and Saskatchewan and are jealous of the west growing power. Plain and simple.
