Default Darton vapor?

Are they any good? A friend of mine picked one up at the take it or leave it at the dump today. The guy was getting rid of stuff from his uncles garage and had no time to deal with it as he was heading back to work.

I have a Darton Vapor and I love it! It's light and I have mine cranked up to 74 lbs with 0 issues. Changed the facory string and put an open release riser on it and now the FPS is 260, not the fastest bow out there, but it gets the job done and has never failed me. I bought it about 8 years ago and am very happy with it

I have an older Darton that I use as a backup bow and it shoots just fine. I can't remember the specific model and am too lazy to go downstairs to check.

I also replaced the old Biscut arrow rest with a Revolution Arrow Rest by Trophy Ridge, made a big difference in the arrow speed, how that helps

Any bow you can pick up at the "take it or leave dump" cant be all that bad...lol

In its time it was a popular bow...it will do its job!

Darton in their day had some inovations... it is said Darton's Rex Darlington is responsible for all the Hybrid Cam systems we see today, as he invented it.
One of the most popular was the CPS-G2-2 1/2 Cam system. This system was the first to conquer the timing issues traditionally associated dual cams.

The Vapor pending on what model which ran for a few years was popular from the approc 2004 -2008 era...still a recent technology bow...
