Default Looking for employment

Been searching for a new job and figured why not try the forum as there will probably be like minded people on here. Ive been in the construction industry for over 10 years. Mostly concrete experience but have done a little bit of everything. If there is anyone looking for employees and want to chat some more pm me.

Thanks
Kw12

Come try your hand at flatwork in Lethbridge. Nobody else around here seems to know what they are doing.

CN rail is extremely busy and hiring a bunch of positions.
Conductors require no previous experience and make about 70 thousand to start after qualifying. Only thing is you work at any time, day or night and outside all year round, doesn't matter how hot or cold it is.

PCL is really looking hard for carpenters and labourers. Just go into PCL builders office and fill out an application, they will probably interview you immediately and hire you.

Yeah, best job going for a high school education for a reason. I looked into it. Went through all of the steps, got offered a position. But they can keep it. Zero schedule, junk shifts til you build seniority. Then progress to engineer, and start at the bottom again.

You can still go camping they say. As long as you take two vehicles, so you can leave your family at the lake. And are still able to report within 2 hours.

I get plenty of time off to do things, it's just a different kind of lifestyle. My trips usually take under 30 hours and I can take 24 hours off, and after a certain amount worked, 48. If you go hard you can reach your work allotment and have a week to a week and a half off every month. You just need to get used to not having every weekend off. I enjoy having week days though; this week I'll be out hunting while most other people are working.

That is a tough job if you are a bit out of shape like I was... be mentally prepared to put in a hard day, and bring extra water and food if there was a fresh, large snowfall.
