Default Anyone try these thermacell heated insoles?

Has anyone given these a whirl. Yes I know that frozen toes are a valued hunting tradition but I thought maybe I sneak these in. Any thoughts?

My wife has them and really likes them. They work good but of course battery life is a limit. However, she will turn them on periodically to keep her feet warm and then they last longer throughout the day instead of just running them non stop.

I bought them and very happy with them. Of course battery life is limited but if you turn off and on they will last. Great for ice fishing. One thing is that they are quite thick and didnt fit comfortably in my usual boots so I actually ended up having to buy a new set of boots a size larger. I took the insoles with me to size boots and they didnt work with many of the boots I tried so keep that in mind.

Get yourself a pair of hotronics. They last all day on medium and I wear plane leather slip on red wings at -30 no problem with them. About 375 a set so they aren't cheap but I've had mine for 7 years or so now.

Best piece of winter gear you could ever buy

I have them and I like them. With the boots that I wear and a nylon, merino wool and gortex sock combo I don't need the heat on when I'm moving. When I'm sitting/standing, I turn them on and off as required. I haven't had any issues with the batteries dying on me. In the coldest weather they keep my feet at a comfortable temperature, not hot but not cold. I suppose that if you kept them on all day the batteries would die out on you, I haven't needed to do that.

Exclamation Warning regarding heated insoles & socks!

Just as a note on this particular topic for those who will be venturing into avalanche terrain...

If you are going to be using heated insoles or socks and they use a wireless remote or are Bluetooth compatible, there is potential that they will interfere with the operation of an Avalanche Transceiver!!
