Anyone have a look at Salters lately? Ice still?

Ice would have been off before May 1st. I was out there fishing 2 weeks ago and 40% of the lake was ice free then.

Almost all lakes including big ones like Wabamun are ice free now.

Catch anything .??...and do you know if it winterkilled or not??

I didn't catch anything and it didn't seem like anyone else was either. Wasn't the nicest day though so I didn't try all that long.

I did see one swim by so obviously there are a few in there just not sure how many.

It was a close and very productive lake. The aerator has been down for extended periods, sadly resulting in major losses. The newer "stockers" are there but not very big- yet as it does have lots of food for them. Hopefully it will return to what it used to be.

X 2 if I remember correctly that was the lake I went to many years ago ....and I did pretty good ... but that was a loOoong time ago
