Default Warning for fishing Bow River above Canmore

I came across a black bear and 2 small cubs last night around 8pm just inside the park boundary by the river. Be alert and on the watch for them.

Water was very clear with small patches of snow only remaining in heavy shaded areas. Riverbanks are 99% clear of any snow.

I was in the area Friday. We started at the old coal train bridge and worked up stream. Seen some paw prints and scat in a few places. The bears are not so much of a worry to me out in the sticks. Its them kitty cats that scare me.
