That's not what your OP said.

The expected delivery date is the date it should arrive no later than, even if everything that could go wrong does go wrong. We live in Canada, and should be able to expect the same shipping times that our neighbors next door get. Most things I order in the US get shipped to our US address in a few days, whereas in Canada it makes no difference who I ship with, it will almost always be at least 5 days. I don't know how many of the folks on here get cards and invites through the mail from the US, but we find that most are post marked 2 weeks old by the time it arrives in our Canadian mailbox. Of the evils out there, Canada Post is probably your best bet.

Just recieved a rifle shipped through CP. Came day later than expected date, seems that most parcels are going to Calgary first then to Edmonton. Had a few packages do this in last few months. Everything came undamaged so not much of a concern. May be due to fires going on, more problems for them than usual.

I once ordered a cell phone watched as it got shipped to Edmonton, went out on the truck, and then back to Ontario. Online said it was undeliverable and being returned to sender, even though I had never had issues with packages. Always just got the notice to pick up from the local post office. So I told the cell company the issue and they told me to just pick up the phone from the local outlet. Three weeks later I got the original in the mail. No idea what had happened in the meantime

Actually you and the others are wrong.
it was mis labeled. Canada post just informed me
SO I guess by me doing "something" helped it arrive
Thanks for your 1.5 cents

I sent a rifle recently from Delta BC to Ft.St John BC and it arrived a day early....
Seems about right for me.
The sender is the one that starts the service ticket.

I must be blessed or hose shoe lucky.
I've never had a single issue with Canada Post. That's shipping or receiving.

For example, I ordered some odds and ends for a buddies reloading set up from X-Reload in Quebec. I did the order online on Sunday. The items shipped Monday mid morning(Expidited Parcel Post ground) tracking info was sent at the time of shipping. Projected delivery was indicated to be on the 25th. I just checked my parcel tracking and the items are at the local postal outlet with a delivery card in my community mail box.

I've maybe had 1 parcel fail to deliver on the projected date, and the last 8-10 parcels have exceeded the delivery projection by a day or two.

Yep! Use the UPS/FedEX/DHL etc and you will learn your lesson really quickly I bet. The lesson being that Canada Post has best service all around.

You feel free to go with courier companies and pay 2-3x the cost or more than CP for the same shipping. Oh, and don't forget those lovely brokerage fees when bringing things over the border.

Then when they screw up/you over you can come and rant again so we can sit back and have a good laugh.

I dont mind paying more to ship. At all.
If I get fast service, on time deliveries, and honesty when dealing with problems that do occur, I have absolutely no problem paying more
