Default Canadian tire Christmas light recall

http://healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall...56400r-eng.php

Be safe and take them back. Looks like a real wide recall.

Yep recalls everywhere in regards to certain Christmaslights. I didn't buy any lights this year, or hardly any last year either, or even the year before that.

Better safe than sorry.

Just shows you how much time the people at CSA actually work and how well they do there job and approve these items that are recalled. Just like extension cords with only 16 - 18 gauge wire when all of them should be 14 gauge.

CSA approved, but Health Canada testing found them a hazard? What does CSA do again?

The recalled lights were sold at many retailers. We bought 3 sets, put them on a tree outside, then a couple weeks later found out about the recall and took them down. Real life Grinch situation.

Didn't buy more, bah humbug.

About two weeks ago I read of Canadian Tire suing WalMart over the theft of a Noma light design of theirs that features some fancy universal clips, they're claiming design or patent infringement. My very next trip into the store revealed some significant irony: Canadian Tire has essentially ripped off the parts organizer design of these other cases which are labeled as DeWalt but are made by ZAG in Israel (I own some labelled under each name). Canadian Tire is selling their model side by side with the Isreali-made one at the exact same price but you can already guess where theirs are being made.......

Cough, cough, hypocrisy, cough.......
