Default Cannon

Any of you guys fired one of these? Dick 284 was saying I might be able to get fuses for it,that would sure make it easier to fire.

Default cannon

Years ago, I knew a guy who had a small cannon mounted on his deck. He would shoot golf balls across the canyon behind his country home. I think it was an inch and three quarter bore.

And safer. Lot of recoil in one of those things. Cannon fuse is available. Built one once , but I used Bickford safety fuse, 30 seconds / ft. I think.

Cannon fuse is easy to find, buddy of mine has one made out of pipe 3" bore fires beer cans full of cement or packs the bore with dry then wet newspapers for a really loud blank.

The fuse is actually for cannons.
IIRC Flys ETC. sells it.
Frontier Firearms as well I think.

Totally agree - at least real pirates have some sense of honour and decency - the ones in the legislature and on Parliament hill are far worse !!!!

I would set that cannon up on my back deck and point it over to whichever neighbour you are feuding with.

Just having it set up on the deck would probably be a deterrent lol

Classic! I used to love that show!
As to the cannon I've got a crude but fully functional signal cannon myself, I've got fuse and BP as well, if you're ever near Thorsby stop by and I'll hook you up.
