2k and up if buying new, and usually (but not always) limited accuracy compared to a bolt action of similar price.

MR 1
ATRS
ACR DMR
XCR

All have their fans, id submit that the ATRS rifles are the highest regarded but have never used one myself.

Then you'd better warm up to the mini 14, get a bolt gun, or hope for one heck of a firesale.

I don't now what caliber it will be available in, but NEA is supposedly releasing a NR semi-auto for around $1,500.00 in the near future. The issue being classification hasn't been announced and it may only be available in .308.

A benelli mr1 comes in right around 2k and takes stanag mags. I'd opt for the comfortech stock (if you can find one) just to get away from the chin weld.

I really liked my non restricted ACR, but now with Trudeau's changes to the group dealing with firearms legislation, there may soon be no semi auto 223 rifles that aren't restricted or prohibited.

Default benelli mr1

I see your post is from a year ago but I'm wondering if you're still looking. I have a good deal on a Benelli Mr1. Private message me if you're interested.
