75gr. TNT Speer, Varget, CCI BR2, R-P case.
87gr. Vmax Hornady, H4350, CCI BR2, R-P case.

Sorry these aren’t deer loads, and there’s a reason for that.

I had a .243 Savage for several years. Worked up some outstanding accurate loads with H414 powder with 85g and 100g bullets Sierra bullets. Sorry can't help you with the deer hunting thing as I didn't use it, but the 100g Gameking was highly effective on a skunk at 28 yards, going cleanly in the front and carrying the scent glands neatly out the rear...

Oh by the way, you can download the first edition of Richard Lee's Modern Reloading book for free now. An outstanding read to go with your other manuals. I wish I had it 20 years ago. Work em up, be safe

I have been leaning towards the sierra game kings. I have been in a toss up between the 85gr and 100gr but was curious what everyone else had for loads.

80gr gmx 40gr of H380 had another pass through on a big cow elk at 150 yards yesterday four steps and dead. My go to elk and moose bullets.

95gr combined technologies 42gr Imr 4831 for deer both loads lethal and accurate in my .243 Model 70 feather light.

I killed only two deers with .243 win and both with Barnes 80 gr TTSX and 43 gr of imr 4350 at around 3300 f.s.
I think this bullet could easily be used on a bigger animals like elk or moose as well.

I use a Barnes 80gr TTSX with 44.5gr of H4350 and a Fed 210 in Win brass. I have shot many deer with this load.

I’m using 100 gr partitions and varget. I use varget in all my rifles except my two magnums. Dropped a buck this year with that combo one shot, bullet passed through. The buck was 45 yards away from me or so.

I have a varmint load worked up for my other .243 with hornady 65 gr. But I’m changing that to nosler varmagedon tipped in 70 gr. I’ll be a bit more specific with my load tomorrow morning when I pull out my reloading book.

I use 100 gr Hornady btsp Interlocks with Winchester large rifle primer. IMR 4350 42 gr if I remember correctly load data book is at home. Deadly accurate in my Remington sps and both my nephews and daughters x bolt. All deer died inside of 30 yards. Some were a bang flop on the spot.

Exact same load I have been using now for a few years. Love it. Was using the nosler 90 gr E tip but the hornady btsp seem to hold up better. And are a better price.

My varmint load is 39.6 gr. of varget under 65gr Vmax with hornady brass, cci large 200 primers.

A random load I made up for my pump is hornady 105 gr bthp with 35 gr of varget with Winchester brass and cci 200 primers.

My deer load for my pump is 100 gr partition with 34.5 gr of varget. Winchester brass and cci 200 primers.

All seated to saami spec lengths.

IMR 4350 , Mag primers, 95 or 100 gr, Nosler Partitions have worked perfect for about 40 years for us.

And ...this....except I use the older hornady BT Spire points...cuz I got a lot left.

Never underestimate the killing ability of this little cartridge....seen some one shot boom drop as if hit by a freight train.....place it and it will kill

Had some great success with .243's over the years all hand loaded with 100 gr partitions or 100 gr sierra game kings over Viht N560.
