Great pics Andrew.

By looks of the last pic it has me thinking that it was taken in Europe? Hence the "polish bacon"?

Now THATS a boar hunt!!!
Driven Boar in Poland is on my Bucket list. I've been on boar hunts in Germany, France and Belgium, but I've heard the Polish hunts are legendary, congrats on a huge Kieler!

WOW Dobry Dziki (translation: Great Boar)

They must own a very big smoke house for animals that size.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Hey Svejk:

Would you own one of those fancy rifles in Alberta for hunting?

Nice boar and nice rifle, I am wondering why the leader of the group is carrying a horn in his pocket? Is that to signal the start of a drive? There should be lots a sausage on that ol' boar.

Wow, that brings back memories! I never shot a big boar like that, but hunted in Poland with my uncle, cousin and dad a bunch of times. Shot my first roe buck there, and got nicely smeared with blood. Good times.

When pushers start the drive you can't see them but you can hear the horn so you can shoot in front of you and to the left and back, once they(pushers) are close to hunters another horn sound announces this and you can't shoot in front only to the left and back. Once this drive is over there is different horn signal and everybody will unload their rifles and go to the meeting point before next drive.
