Pre Storm Pics
I went for a drive on friday before we had all this snow and thought i would share . The deer look in pretty good shape down south.

They do look good indeed! Up north I doubt they are fairing as well. With the snow melting for the past few days and now freezing, the predators may be able to run on top while the deer break through. Could be some feasting taking place...

ive seen southern alberta bucks keep their antlers til mid march, january shouldnt be surprising

You got that right!
I think the ungulates are screwed up here. I went to Peace River yesterday ( hr and half drive ) and saw 9 coyotes, all running effortlessly over top the hard snow. Wish I had my rifle and it wasn't illegal to shoot off a primary highway!!!!
I think the deer may be in trouble.
