She should run like new now, that things in pretty good shape!

I just took it for a rip.

Man that thing is fast. I didn’t see how fast I was going, but probably over 60mph in less than 4 seconds. Held me back the entire way and I had to let off before I ran out of ditch

As a kid I used to have a 1980 Yamaha SRX 440. The 440 invader was almost as fast and the 80 SRX would push almost 100mph.

Those pics bring back memories! Haven’t seen one of those in ages. They were a good machine in their day and plenty of jam!!
And those SRX guys were always good at going faster than anyone else could....at the bar!!! But they sure got quiet at the drag strip?!

You should be able to get 90 - 100 mph if it's in good shape.

One of the first statements that the carbs have been cleaned. Lol. If I had a nickel every time I heard that I wouldnt have to work no more. I’m glad you didn’t tear apart the engine first. Good you got it going. Enjoy.

Speedometer/dreamometer, have any of the speeds stated been verified?
Most times the speedometer is way out.
Fast is still fast, but it's scary to think about going those speeds on an old sled.

I believe I clocked my old invader 440 @ about 75mph , but for the lack of suspension it feels like your doing 100 lol.
