Congrats. Shot my first Mule Buck in Sept with a Bow. Same size as yours. First time skinning and gutting by myself. No matter the size of antlers I'm still proud of first bow kill. And the meat is great.

Default well done

Nice Deer ABB. Well done. I am hoping to get my dad one like that this weekend. Hopefully we can find one with the same level of intelligence to get my dads first deer.

I'm also the proud owner of one of Jungleboys hoists buc-up dot com (I think)

2 things have changed my hunting for ever this year:-

1/ Having the UTV hoist, made my life a whole lot easier especially as I hunt alone a lot. Speed's things up a lot with a helper too.

2/ The Havalon knife (the one with the scalpel blades) what a great processing knife.

Yes.. u have one he makes if you order one. Mine looks different as he made it from metal i had already and asked him to work his magic. They sure look and work good.

I was thinking of trying the Havalon Edge. But have heard the blades dull rapidly and are very flimsy. I love the Cutco with Double d edge. But coming in contact with heavy bone folds over the teeth lol

Don't hold back on the Havalon knife. I have 2 fallkiven hunting knives (www.fallkniven.com) of very good steel and they work fantastically, however for deer cleaning and making sharp cuts in softer material the Havalon is amazing.

I gutted 2 deer with the same blade and I'm still using it as it's so sharp still. Also look on YouTube it shows you that you can sharpen the blades, besides they come with 12 replacements and new packs are cheap.

Ya.. doesnt hurt. I have so many knive already. And to be honest.. my favorite knife to use is a $4 rapala bait knife you can buy at the till of the fishin hole stores. White handle. Can put a wicked edge on them and i use them for heavy bone work
Tried that with the cutco....and it cant take it. Need to send it in for replacement as the teeth bent over a bit.
