Default Grande Prairie Elk

Hey Guys,

I'm leaving for the Saddle hills in 10hrs and counting. Are they (Elk) rut'n good yet??? I'm so excited that I know I won't be sleeping tonight. Congrats to everyone and their early season elk.

Got my 5x5 this morning in the saddle hills ....not bugling hard but do some calling and wait it out!!

Hey WT7! I'm just back from hunting east of GP on the Wapiti River. I was fortunate enough to bag a nice 5X5. I think that the rut is only just starting in that area. We really had to work hard, plan, and execute. It worked. Good luck, and let us know how it went. My best advice for you.....hunt them like whitetails. They seem to hide and double back on ya. It worked for us.
