Talking called my first elk tonight!!

went out bird hunting today took along the bugle i bought coule of weeks ago,never hunted hunted elk before being from nova scotia. blew before sun up this morning had cows going like crazy, it was cool. so i bird hunted seen a nice little mullie buck, real nice w/t buck and on the way out seen a cow elk down a cut line so i stated down with a cow calls and all of a sudeen this bull let go a really really deep bugle didnt know he was there!! first time ive heard one close so we talked back and forth for a while i hid behind a bunch of bushes he finally came around this ole swamp holy man i almost pased out he was a 6*6 i just stared at em. probably coolest thing ive ever done!! hopefuly he will still be around monday evening!!! good luck to ya all!

man thats awsome , jus twent and had coffee with the farmers that allow me to hunt on their land tonight so im ready for monday moring also.

Yah that first bugle of the year always gets a true hunters blood running. Hopefully you can stick him on Monday. Good Luck

That is why I hunt elk. You must have a magic bugle. It takes some guys a long time before the have a bull answer them.
