Default 162-166 Elk

Despite 3 trips down looking for Elk in these zones I have yet to find them! If anyone happens to have any recent information I would sure appreciate it. Back in July I was right on top of them. Now I might as well be hunting an extinct species...

My in-law's farm / live in 162. This is what they tell me.

The elk seem to be a transient population down there. If you live down there, you will see them from time from time moving through. But to come down on any given day / weekend and expect to find elk is going to a matter of more good luck than good management.

I have been hunting deer and antelope in 162,,, and visiting several times a year since the mid 70's and have seen elk exactly twice in that last 40 some years.

Just saying,,, put in your time and your miles and with some luck hope to find that right spot at the right time!!!
