Default Places to fly fish around calgary

Im in calgary for a few months and would really like to get out for some fly fishing. Is there any good spots around here to fish? Thanks!

The Bow river is world class, if I was you I`d maybe go to a fly fishing shop and ask about different flies to use and spots that are easy to access.

I normally go south of Calgary where the Deerfoot highway (Hwy2) crosses the river near the new hospital. Park the car at the bridge and go fishing on either side of it. You can also ask about Policeman Flats (boat drop off) both of these spots are within 5 min driving distance of one another. There can be quite a few fisherman around these spots so I usually go for a little walk to get away from all the others.

Been having a hard time to catch them on dry flies so I`m using a nymphing rig and having success 1-4 fish a day (4-5h fishing)

Bow river is a tough river. Half the guys on here love it half it is their nemesis. For me it's my nemesis but I still keep trying. Fish creek is always fun. I've heard elbow is also good
