Default The Shedcrazy family's long weekend!

Spent a lot of quality time with all my family outdoors this weekend. It was one to remember.

Shedcrazy Sr's turn to get his bull. After both my wife and myself getting good bulls the past few years it was Papa's turn to go after them. He has hardly ever hunted them and had no desire to pass every bull over this fall like I did last year but he still wanted a decent one.

Well we fooled around in one spot that held several good bulls and while we knew there was a bigger one around this guy fit the bill. He was big and in the open! So dad got his first big bull one week short of 70.

Next up mom came out to the cabin with the girls..We spent some time chasing mulies but mom just could get a shot she wanted...I guess we got another date as this was her second time out after taking two yrs off.

The girls spent the next day with me learning how not to use a damper on a wood stove, how tough wind blown snow is to walk in, how to get a truck stuck, that tobogganing can be more fun than hunting at times, not to hide the key to the gun safe unless you remember where and how much fun shooting .22 can be! Thanks to Hal53 and here are some pics.

At the end it was just Jess and me. Going into my whitetail spot we stumbled into a lot of mulies and this little one off on it's own. We decided to take her and end the day with a little drag.

Perfect ending!

Congrat's on a fine family weekend to be sure, and esp to your pop for getting a great moose! Too funny about the gun safe key! Been there, done that...
