Is there a.....
I'm looking for a long eye relief scout scope for my savage scout rifle. 10" eye relief, low light capable, lighted reticle, 30mm tube and 2 X 7 magnification. I have an aim sport scout scope on my rifle now. It doesn't quite meet my requirements, in low light I cant see my reticle or much else for that matter. I'm wondering if there are scopes out there that meet or exceed the criteria that I'd like.

Burris 2-7x32 handgun scope might fit, but not illuminated... why do you want 30mm tube?

Extra light transmission besides My current scope has 30mm rings. I hunt coyotes as part of my job and need to be able to see and shoot them at night.

The bigger tube will not improve the light transmission of the scope it will just increase the adjustment range. As per the shooting at night part, what country are you working in?

I work at a feed lot and hunt coyotes as part of predator control for the company.

Trooper, There are some advertisements for good scopes that work well in low light hunting situations if you download the pdf of the Alberta hunting regulations. It might also be worth a read of the rest of the book to see if any hunting rules apply to your location.

What’s wrong with protecting your livestock at any hour. I never worried about what time it was, when you got your shot, you took your shot. Hunting big game is definitely different, now maybe I’m wrong, but it’s worked fine for me.
As for scope, I think quality glass is far more important then size and reticle illumination. A red dot may have its place I suppose.

This is a hunting forum, not a farmers forum so you will see some bias towards hunting.
I am sure numerous farmers have taken a scattergun out to the chicken coup after hours in the past if we are being honest with ourselves and have shot pests and other stuff out of season etc.
To do it as part of your job with a boss employing you. You should reconsider.

The big difference is airing your transgressions in the law on an open forum, so that the claims either true of fictitious can be used by anyone with an agenda, to bring a dim light upon our community.

I haven't "transgressed" yet.. Holy crap guys, it was just a question! Will you all relax?? So I used the word "night" as I assumed that predator control on a farm or a ranch could happen at anytime of the year and to me that would include night time.. I know that hunting big game is verboten between 1/2 hour after sunset and 1/2 hr before sunrise.. I'm not referring to big game hunting, that wasn't my question.. Take a chill pill.

The law doesn’t specify big game. It’s illegal to discharge a firearm after legal light...

Any shooting after the defined legal light conditions regardless of reason, critter or purpose, is illegal!
Unless you’ve got a dispensation from the government, which I’m willing to wager you don’t have, and won’t get.
And you were ostracized because your inference was that you’d already been doing such shooting and need optics that work in the dark.
in low light I cant see my reticle or much else for that matter.
