I am looking forward to seeing how this looks. I believe it starts this weekend.

I think its hilarious, and my wife likes Star Trek and I don't so she was mad as "heck" when I showed it to her.

All the spinoffs failed. This one likely will too. I enjoy the new movies though.

Your opinion.
With all the awards Next Generation garnered https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ext_Generation I'd say not many agree with you.

Star Trek politics are quite Liberal so I always like to point out to Anti's that even in such a Utopia they clearly saw and utilized the benefit of being heavily armed

Show was pretty good. Will definitely continue to watch. Is this show now just on CBS online or in Canada is it going to be on Space?
Looks like Canada is lucky. Space Channel. Phew.

Good to know regular cable will work.

My opinion differs from yours but is not wrong.
I watched the first 2 episodes last night.
Extremely meh. Long drawn out subtitled Klingon speeches, short pointless battles, cute new rubber faces on the midget Klingons.
This one will jump the shark too.

They're just using the Teddy Roosevelt theory of diplomacy -

Not to belabor the point but you said "All the spinoffs failed"
That is not an opinion...that is a statement.
And as all the critical acclaim, awards garnered, seven successful seasons and popular 'opinion'...Next Generation most certainly did not 'fail'
And that is a statement.

My apologies Mr Roddenberry.
They are all crap. Low budget repeats with shaky stages. There is nothing original anymore.
The new ones have a small cult following, which is true but I still say they are crap.
Don't take it personally unless you are a shareholder, writer actor or your last name is Shatner. It doesn't affect you or I at all.
Most series jump the shark when they are a spinoff.
Don't let it bother you.

Star Trek
Gotta say that they’re taking subtitles to a whole new level. Klingons may be important to story development, but I wish that their universal translators worked better...

None of the TV sequels captured my interest... Voyager was good. This new series looks like it could be a winner.
