Berkley gulp alive....
Anyone had any success with this stuff. Bought some a while back, have tried it a bit but no results. To be fair I usually loose patience fairly early and make the switch to something I know has worked for me in the past. After forkin' out 20 bucks for the stuff, I feel obligated to use it more.

Ive had mixed results.
There are times all the berkley products can save a guy alot of money...jumbo leeches and jumbo minnows are expensive.
When fish are on the feed bag they seem to be the greatest invention ever, then at times of negative fish they seem like a waste of money.
I had zero luck icefishing with the minnow imitations

I never seem to have any good fishing with gulp alive. i have bought quite a bit of it and I can never get it to produce. I have a big container that I have most of 2 tubs sitting in my boat that never gets used.
I have seen a few videos of trigger x being compared to gulp and every result was trigger x coming out on top by quite a bit.
I think I may buy a few packs of the trigger x baits and give them a go this summer and see how they produce. I like to use plastics in the summer when I am fishing around thick weed pockets so I don't lose a ton of bait like I would with real bait.

I've had good luck with gulp. So far I've used the minnow grubs in white and yellow, the 3 inch leeches, 3 inch minnows, and 6" worms. I've done well using them on jig heads, drop shot, lindy rigs, and on spinners. Although live bait will sometimes out fish it I think I often catch more fish simply because I dont have to re-bait or reel in my line to check my bait. Some days there is no substatute for the real thing though.
I've also had good luck throwing regular jigs into the Gulp bag to soak up scent, the gulp goop discolors regular jigs though so only throw a couple in at a time.

I like dipping my large bucktail mepps musky killers in the juice! Soaks up a lot and seems to last quite a while. Can't say I'm all that crazy about powerbaits, although I have a lot and still use them... they don't really seem to work much better than regular plastics, in my opinion. I don't think they hold the scent for very long once they hit the water

Was at lac st anne on the weekend. Finally found that a small jig head with a minnow was the ticket. We started to get low on minnows so I tried the gulp alive 3" minnows. My brother inlaw kept fishing the real minnows. He was outfishing me about 4-1.

why are dipping musky bucks in there? they dont hold the sent too good at all and you should always be moving it for it to work?

The hair on the spinner soaks up a lot of that juice. and yes it is always moving, but hopefully leaving a scent trail. It definitely works better than when I don't dip it.

are the minnow powerbait or the alive leeches considered 'bait'? i do most of my fishing on the RDR around red deer and regs say maggots are the only bait allowed, i usually use mine as a lure per say with a treble hook through the minnow or leech . looking for some clarification

i was told by a fisheries officer a few years ago below the dickson dam that anything with any type of sent is considered bait. weather its real live bait, plastics or even lures or fly sprayed or dipped. hope that helps

X2
As far as I know this is true. If you are in a "bait ban" area you cannot use any powerbaits, gulps, "stinky stuff", etc...
