Default Finally.....

My first case of a stolen trail camera! Strathcona county, private land and the lowlife probably walked close to 2kms to the point where he found it.

100% - I also have a picture on same camera of a guy trespassing/poaching last year, but he didn't steal the camera. i say poaching, but he probably didn't kill anything as good hunters usually do things right.

Just curious, but did you have a lock on it? Not that it would make if somebody wants it. I almost put one or two out last week in the Fort on private land but decided not too.

I don’t and won’t lock any of my cameras or stands, especially in the middle of private land. They will get it if they want it bad enough. Good thing karma is a real bitch!

Bummer. I moved mine further into the bush today hopefully it survives bow season and tells me what the animals are up to for November 1st. I built a lock but haven’t got it painted yet. Really should so the smell of the paint can dissipate by spring.

I put up a camera one morning, that afternoon I took my brother in law to show him where it was so he could check it if I was not around. It was already stolen.

I haven't had any stolen in Strathcona yet but I've had a couple damaged on Gov't land I used to hunt on that had quite a few others hunting on it. I lock mine but as said already that's just a small deterrent...Bummer when it happens, especially on private land.
