Default How to get rid of glue on my truck?

Bought a used truck from a friend that shut down his buisness. It had a large decal on the side with his buisness logo and everything on it.

I peeled off the sticker fine, but the glue from the back is still on the truck, and is still very visible in the shape of the logo.

Any ideas how to get it off?

If i am correct i think it is called sticker off.. written in red lettering... comes in a little black bottle.. it worked pretty well for me... just splash it on and let it sit for about 5 minutes i believe then scrape it of with a plastic squeegie card or plastic razor blade.. i used it on my truck and my quad worked great

Some good car wax companies make, before waxing cleaners now. You use the stuff to clean the car then you wax it after. Some boat cleaner stuff out there too.

Brakeleen will usually work, or a strong citrus product like Citrol or Rig Pig.....

Goo-gone x2 or isopropyl rubbing alcohol works great too for most things and is cheap and versatile.

Expect a shape to remain if the logo has been there for a while though due to paint fade.

Forget goo-gone, etc.

Get 3M Adhesive Remover - you can find it at Canadian Tire, Napa etc.

Spray on - leave it sit for 5 minutes, wipe off. Repeat once if necessary.

I've debadged 15 vehicles or more and by far thus is the best product (compared to the mentioned ideas above).

Works best when used with an eraser wheel for really thick glue or decals.

Brakeleen will remove the paint off the truck. Had a shop tech do it to the company service truck.

Following the adhesive removal with the 3M product the sticker outline will still be visible as the paint there will be in better shape, you can buff the difference out with polishing compound and a power polisher.

Must be a crummy paint job. I use it constantly on my F350 to remove crude oil.....never touched the paint....still pearly white!
