Default Anyone fishing McMillan Lake (near Slave Lake)

I fished there in the 80s and it was a great winter lake!
Was hoping to return and try again now that I am retired...

Any info would be appreciated...

I'd go check it out regardless. Used to have some very large yellow bellies. If it sucks slide over to Wabasca.

I fished it once back in the late 80's when I lived out there. I recall the access in was on a cutline. Deep snow, got stuck , got on the lake and was the only track.. drove thru deep snow and just picked a random spot couple hundred yards from where i drove on. Punched one hole , sat on the endgate and caught 3 or 4 pig perch. Was panicky about getting out so got off there after about an hour of fishing.
I've never heard much more about that lake since. I recall mention that there had been a road built into it ? Maybe the lack of talk about that lake could be a good sign, although making easy access into it could have killed it.
