Default Bulls in the Crowsnest

Hoping to head out to the crowsnest in a couple weeks after Canada day and get into some Cutties but would also Reallly like to see if I can hook into a Bully or two Still fairly new to fly fishing (2nd yr) but I got the jist and am going with good company. Had no problem with the cutties on last yrs trip but were not geared properly for the Bulls. Seen a couple monsters though, got them curious but to no avail.

Any of you pros got any successful flies that may be working for the Bulls this time of year up there that your willing to suggest? I will stop by the local fly shop as well and gather some info but always like to hear what u fellas n ladies have to say.

Can't wait, sooooooo much fun!

Cheers n thanx!

Edit: just realized I should have posted this in fly forum...oops. Mods, feel free to move thread.

Bull trout like to chase streamers much like brown trout. Like you said they like to chase but are hard to get a hit. THe ones you see laying in the back in the hole usally aren,t feeding. Fall is a better time to chase bull trout in the crowsnest area.

Thx CC. Ya, figured autumn is better but when opportunity knocks...

Streamers seem to be quite popular for the Bulls so I hear. Guess that's the route to go. If they ain't biting, plenty of cutties to entertain

Any other tips/hooks for the Bully rookie?

Mods-pls move thread to fly fishing forum.
Thx.

Just remember that bulls are only downstream of Lundbreck Falls in the Crow. And cutties almost only in the upper tributaries.

Thank guys, I believe we are hitting up the Livingstone again, weather conditions pending. Last year was in late August so perhaps the bulls aren't currently there, they were then. Either way, I'll take a peek

Mods, are u ever gonna move this thread to fly fishing forum haha. I'll try using The Force, if that doesn't work perhaps I'll pm you Bigbore. I kinda wanna see how long it takes you though
