Rick at Alberta Tactical is very good but specialises in tactical, and long distance percision, large caliber. Does great metal work, barrel fitting etc. Admits wood is not one of his favourite mediums and as your previous post says, old lever guns in 30-30 would not likely be something he works on a lot.
The smith at Pro-line did a small job for me on a lever gun, he is good, fast and used to working on that type of gun. They sell a lot of cowboy action guns; revolvers, single shots and replica lever guns.
Have heard good things about the two at Shooters edge but never used them my self. Henry Rempel is a great smith but likely booked to the ears with hunting seasoon being near. If you are in no rush he would be my top pick for that type of gun in Calgary.
