Default Sako Trg 22/42 A1

Anyone shot one of these or own one? Curious how you like it.

I have not shot a TRG 22A1 but had the older model. The action on the 2 is pretty much the same. The newer model has an upgraded bolt handle/knob, the trigger group was upgraded from the one I had as was the ejection.

The gun is slick as snot, it feeds well, the bolt was super smooth, and it had an awesome 2 stage trigger (I like 2 stage triggers so they work for me). It was of course quite accurate as well.

The problem with TRGs is that they are pricey for what you get IMO. The regular TRGs run $4K+ and I would assume the A1 versions are pushing the $6K+ arena. In that price range if you want a "battle tested sniper rifle" nothing is going to beat the AI AT or AI AX.

I have a updated TRG 22. Shoots very well, best trigger that I have used.

I switched the stock out to a KRG whiskey 3 chassis. Gives it more adjustable features than the Sako stock. Found the chassis used on CGN for a good price and thought I would try it. There is a store in BC that is a KRG dealer.

The rifle shoots very well, always puts a smile on my face.

The only drawback to the TRG line is cost of mags and accessories.

I would totally do this as well if I were to get back into the TRG game. Cadex and KRG both make upgrades for the TRG and are probably a better product.
