Default Lac St Anne Family Day

So the wife and I went out to try and fill some Walleye tags at Anne this afternoon. Plan was to bring grandson along but he was not feeling well. Got to Anne at 4:30 pm and was able to drive on lake with 2 wheel drive. 5 inches of hardpack snow that was a little slushy today. Ice is still 12"-14" everywhere we drilled. Stayed away from Town, as there were crowds and snowmachines/quads everywhere. We were catching lots of fair sized pike till it started getting dark, then the walleyes started biting. We caught 7 Pike and 4 walleye, though 3 of them were too big to keep, (A Class), but this real fat fellow was a perfect keeper in B Class. Beautifull afternoon and evening with no wind.

Great job and nice report I had another friend out there today in the festivities and he said to my surprise that he ne'er seen a thing all day lol. Nice walleye. I tried jackfish with no luck other than a pike

Nice catch! Big belly, full of eggs? We are hoping to go out on Wednesday. 12-14" though makes me kinda nervous for driving. Maybe it is just in that area? Other reports still have it at 20+ inches.

Congrats Ninja !

Looks like that momma is ready to drop her eggs really soon. Nice fatty for sure.
I landed a couple over 61cm last week at a differant lake. Hoping to go there again in the next week or two.

Right on ....did you actually measure the ice?
I was fishing Wabamun and the ice was 23"....Its crazy that the ice would be that different between the two considering they are side by side.
