Default Building a .30 Cody looking for good Gunsmith

I'm building a .30 Cody this winter and looking for a good gunsmith in Alberta.
If anyone out there has any advice I'd appreciate it.

That's a big order. are you building a full out custom rifle, or just accurizing and re-barrelling an existing rifle?
KS Arms,
Bob Galloway,
Ron smith,

These are just a few I'm aware of, I'm sure there's more just as capable.

I was planning on starting from scratch and building something of a cross between hunting and target shooting

Insite arms
EM precision

I'd add to that list as well

Insite builds crazy accurate tac drivers but they are slightly more expensive

I build a long range target and hunting rifle, built it off the KS arms Wolverine long action and KS arms barrel in 284win and its a crazy accurate shooter so far. Just did load development with the 145LRX and definitely sub moa out to 500m. Its a little heavy in the KRG bravo chassis but I enjoy it. I have an Athlon Cronus ontop of it. Its ~13# with mag and 5rounds.

No worries at all I had Karl and Mike at KS arms help em out they also did the gun smithing work, especially for target shooting you'll want a lighter contour but not a pencil barrel. I settled on a 24" Sendero.

Always good to ask and shop around.

Check out their websites and social media information like Facebook. See their work online...ideally closeups...no closeups....means you are missing the fine work. See if they are doing it full time or part time....and what their warranty is as well as what quality control they have...... some builders prefer short barrelled rifles as short is typically less flex and better accuracy. Never heard of a 300 cody....you might have to buy a reamer. Talk directly to the builder and ask how many returns they had for poor accuracy or problems. Hopefully you will get an honest answer.
