Default Brazeau river launch upstream of reservoir

Hey I'm looking to hit the Brazeau for the first time, just wondering if there is a spot to launch my 16' explorer upstream of the reservoir somewhere. Thanks

At the dam on the res. Anything upstream of the res is jetboat domain. Have had my boat as far as the falls. Can be very dodgy with the wrong water levels. SRD has flow rates on their website, usefull! Once you get up into the canyon you run into the can openers (sharp granite rocks) not the nice round alluvial rocks like you find downstream. The penalty for error can be large. If you can read a river and have the right equipment it is an incredible run with gorgeous scenery.

Thanks for the response! Ran from the reservoir up to somewhere between the Blackstone forks and forestry trunk road but had to turn back due to fuel limitations. Saturday I'm going to be trying to launch at forestry trunk, rumor has it its dicey but you can put a boat in there.
