Default Looking for good Lake Trout spot in Northern Sask

Hey Guys,
The stars have aligned this year and have time off and permission from the wife to go to Saskatchewan fishing in June. Never been before and others have suggested looking at Wollaston lake, Dore Lake, and Mirond lake. We can stay at affordable lodges, or bring a tent- we are pretty flexible. We also have a boat, but will also be willing to rent a boat to save us from pulling a trailer all the way up there. Any suggestions?????

I have been to Mirond many times and it is an excellent lake for walleyes and northern pike but no lake trout. There is another lake in the area that holds lakers but I think its a day trip option. Its a long drive from here but well worth it.I heard in june Lake Athabasca is good for lakers but lodges are pricey.Best of luck with your search.I will be out on Mirond the second week of june.

try Lac La Plonge in Beauval, it has decent lakers and pike, nice cabins too. Anglers Trail is the name of the cabin / resort.

I think for the prime time spring and fall they do, summer is hit and miss. They do have camping stalls for trailers etc.. there as well.

I agree with this. Black top almost all the way. Lots of trout if you know how to fish for them.
