Default Place to shoot skeet near red deer

Hey all,

I am new to red deer and wondering if there is any place i can go shoot some skeets after work!

Does anyone know of anywhere? Would rather not drive all the way to crown to the west!

Thanks all!

The Red Deer Trap and Skeet club should still be active during the summer months. I am not a member but we should have someone on this forum with the contact info and when the range is open. They used to be located north of Olds and a mile or so east of the big road. D.H.

You are correct on the location. It is now called the Lone Pine Clay Target Club and they are open Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons.

Do you want to shoot actual skeet, or do you just want to throw some clay targets for yourself?

No I don't know of a location to throw your own targets. I shoot skeet at clubs, the cost is usually about the same as me purchasing the targets, and I don't leave a mess in a public place. You might try asking landowners in the area, you might find one that won't mind broken clays on his property.
