Default Vortex Scopes ?? Opinions

Thinking of picking up a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40, just wondering if anyone uses any of the diamondback line and how you like them, good and/or bad.
It will be on a m77 7-08 rem, waiting for the Burris e1 to come out but kinda want to shoot this rifle before the end of summer!

Thx

Great study below that compares all the scopes in that price range. End answer= Vortex hands down. However I thin the 3200 is alittle prettier though imo.

I have the vortex diamondback 3-9*40. Only shot 40 rds through my tikka 7mm, enjoy the combo so far. From my research it seems to be the best buy for the buck.

I've got the 4x12x40 Diamond back mounted on my 270, love it .Will be picking up the crossfire 4x16x50 when I pick up a 22-250.Will probably put a 4x12 on my son's 270.

Lack of eye relief has pushed me away from the vortex line.

That seems to be a decent review, didn't look who wrote it though. I checked a vortex in the store and seemed alright, but they all seem ok inside under lights.

The eye relief is a bit less with the vortex for sure, one thing I liked about the burris. I'll probably pick one up and give er a go, but I'll get a new burris when they get out - an excuse to get another rifle!
