Default Sturgeon Fishing Near Calgary

Hey there,

I was wondering if any of you know of any spots to catch sturgeon near Calgary. I am thinking of trying near Lethbridge on the Oldman river but I don't know where to go.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The forks is a popular place and it gets busy. It can be a lot tougher from shore, especially if you are unfamiliar with the river. Have you fished for sturgeon before and do you have the proper size rod, reel with heavy line and tackle? Have you considered going out with a guide?

Stump, I have never fished for sturgeon before. I have all the gear I just don’t know any spots to fish for them. I would get a guide but I don’t have the money to do that

you will want to wait until the rivers come up, they are way low right now so the dinos arent travelling much yet
