Default Spring Coyote hunting

I'm hoping to do some coyote hunting in WMU330 this spring (season is open till June 15). What do people do with spring coyote pelts? Does anyone buy them? Is it worth getting them tanned?

They are trash, once you see a spring coyote up close you will not be too keen on dropping cash to get it tanned.

I hit one with my truck around this time a few years back and stopped to check it out, to say it was past prime is an understatement.

By the end of February in my area, most are getting pretty scruffy.

Spring coyotes are nice shooting to just enjoy some warm weather and call in a few.

Default Spring coyotes

They are worthless this time of year. Leave them be to raise their families and get them in the winter.

No pelt value.

Pelts won’t be worth anything, but savings some fawns lives is. Kill them all!
